The Best Synth VST Bundles Out There Right Now
If you’re anything like me, you like to get your money’s worth when you buy music production tools. There are so many options available to the beatmaker at the moment that it’s easy to buy everything that comes out and barely use it. Personally, I’ve learned the hard way that it’s more worthwhile to really go one on one with a specific plugin and learn it inside and out, even though I do like opening a fresh synth and circling through cool plugin after cool plugin. The best compromise is perhaps to shop around bundles from top developers in hope to find a complete VST package, save a bit of scratch, and really get in the mindset of a line of products. If you’re a big synth nerd like me, you’ll be happy to know I’ve compiled the best - and most popular - synth bundle deals out there at the moment. I hope this helps you make an informed purchase, or that at least it makes you dream until your next paycheck.

1. V Collection by Arturia
When Arturia announces a new instrument VST, synth nerds do a backflip in their gamer chair, and there’s a good reason for that… The french developer offers some of the classiest, most elegant emulations of classic analog synths out there.
High quality and faithful recreations of sought-after synths used to be rare, now they’re pretty much everywhere, and if you’re looking to buy one instrument in particular, you might find cheap - or even free - options out there. That being said, the V Collection is still incredible.
This bundle to end all bundles offers 39 instruments, from vintage analog and digital synths to innovative pianos and strings plugins. It also includes Arturia’s own Frankenstein monsters, such musts as Pigments 5 and MiniFreak V.
If you’re already an Analog Lab Pro user, acquiring the V Collection will enable you to open presets in the instruments themselves to widen your horizons with infinite tweaking possibilities.

2. Output Complete Bundle
If you’re anything like me, the name Output makes you think of one VST above all others: Arcade. The sample-based instrument is something like the Library of Alexandria if it slapped. It’s the next best thing to David touching God’s finger in that old painting…
Well, I have some good news, and I have some bad news. The bad news is that Arcade is only available through subscription, and it’s unfortunately not included in Output’s so-called “Complete” bundle. The good news though is that it contains so many great instruments and effects that you’ll soon be, like: “Arc-who? Arc-wha?”
That’s right, the Complete Bundle includes plenty of experimental instruments, like the powerful bass engine SUBSTANCE, EXHALE which uses sampled voice sounds to create something unique, and REV which lets you explore reversed sounds and elements to create otherworldly textures.
You also get plenty of analog synth tones, strings, brass and winds to play with in a modern context, as well as all the expansion packs available.
If there’s a jewel to this crown though, it might just be Portal and Thermal, 2 mind-boggling effects full of movement and life that add a lot of life to a mix. I swear, they are literally all over all of your favorite producer’s tracks, from EDM to trap.

3. UAD Signature Edition by Universal Audio
Do you remember where you were when Universal Audio announced you wouldn’t need to own their expensive audio interface to be able to use their plugin. Personally, I was in front of my computer with a credit card in my hand, clicking the purchase button on their Signature Edition bundle.
With its 44 plugins, this extravagant bundle contains all the wonderfully coded emulation of pro audio hardware you’ll ever need, but it also comes with some pretty cool instruments. The Minimoog is perhaps the definitive VST emulation, while the Ravel Grand Piano is a painstakingly well-sampled set of keys. Try not to radiate on those 88s, I dare you!
You also get a sick rhodes and a smooth B3 organ, but while you might already have all the moogs and keys you need, you probably don’t have something as cool as the Opal Morphing Synth, or as warm as PolyMAX.
With all the value you get with this bundle, the instruments might feel like a bonus, but oh! What a bonus it is!

4. UJAM Full Bundle
Where some developers stick to trying to emulate the successes of the past, a company like UJAM throws it all in the air and dreams it all up again.
Phrases, sequencers, instruments, synths, drums, effects… Owning the UJAM Full Bundle is like having an army of the world’s best session musicians at your disposal, ready to burn the midnight oil and help you create the sound in your head.
If you don’t know UJAM, I really suggest you visit their page and check out their plugins. If you need a strummed acoustic guitar, but just the thought of picking one up hurts your fingertips, UJAM is there for you. If you want some cool trap drums, but you're always punching in the same MIDI patterns, UJAM will help you get out of your comfort zone.
A lofi bass? Yup. An EDM lead? No prob. A symphonic orchestra? Don’t worry about it.
The phrases and patterns are really easy to adapt too, so you won’t get that thing that happens with a Splice melody or a Cymatics sample sometimes where you make a track, and then you hear someone else’s beat and they basically made the same idea you did and you want to throw yourself down a well. UJAM really lets you create something that’s unique.
This bundle offers you 54 VST plugins, including over 40 instruments, as well as some user-friendly mixing tools.

5. BigKick+ Bundle by Plugin Boutique
With all the gargantuan plugins on this list, a deceptively simple bundle as BigKick+ Bundle might be a bit underwhelming. At least, that’s how it would appear to the untrained eye.
Many plugins promise you to do one thing and do it well, and too few really make good on their promises. BigKick is one of those plugins that give you exactly what it says on the box: you get a good kick (big OR small) every time.
This affordable bundle comes with 2 expansions, for house and techno. A must have for anyone who needs a tight low end.

6. Softube Volume 6 Plugin Bundle
Let’s start with the bad news. Softube’s Volume 6 bundle doesn’t include most of its great analog emulations, although you still get their take on the Juno. It doesn’t really matter to me because a) I already have plenty of Minimoogs and Prophets, and b) their original instruments are much more useful to me.
On top of a bunch of great pro audio plugins, you do get some very cool instrument with a modern lok and a tone of fun parameters, synths such as Parallels, Statement Lead, and the powerhouse Modular, which is exactly what it sounds like, as well as Heartbeat, which is a modular system that focus on drum synthesis.
My favorite item in this bundle might be Monoment Bass, a powerful bass toolbox that can take your deep end to the moon and back. Check out the demo below.
Overall, this is a well-balanced bundle that gives you a lot of bang for your buck!

7. Cherry Audio Synth Stack 4
When Cherry Audio synth plugins started coming out, I was skeptical. I did get my hands on their emulations of the Juno-106 and the ARP 2600. I did enjoy their raw, perfectly-captured analogue tones and their nice presets, but I thought this David would never compare to Arturia’s Goliath.
But where everybody expected the company to zig, it instead chose to zag, releasing an enduring collection of odd-ball - often forgotten - vintage synths. There are even some weird reimaginings and mutations in their catalog now, like the mighty GX-80 that mixes a GX-1 and a CS-80. It’s an interesting idea that’s really well executed.
Other noteworthy plugins included in this package are Dreamsynth, Harmonia, Lowdown and, of course, the Voltage Modular Core.
Cherry Audio Synth Stack 4 offers 22 synths, many of which are quite rare. It could easily give a run for its money to any bundles on here, or it could be a nice complement to your VST collection.

8. Excite Audio Bundle
Excite Audio is becoming one of my favorite VST companies out there, and I really didn’t see that one coming.
The unpretentious developer doesn’t seem ashamed that most of its plugins send back to other, arguably more famous production tools. It just keeps cruising along, offering beatmakers some kick ass tools.
Aside from excellent little beasts like Lifeline Expanse and KSHMR Chain, Excite Audio has started releasing very useful instruments that address very specific needs. And if there’s something we can learn here, it’s that specificity is the best way to make your mark in the over-saturated world of VST plugins.
Their Bloom suite lets you fiddle with drum breaks, synth basses and vocal chops to create your own kick ass ideas. Their streamlined interface is one of the most beautiful I’ve seen in a while, which is cool if you need to make some dynamic video content. There's also a lot of parameters under the hood that let you experiment with different textures and sequences.
Overall, I highly recommend this bundle if you make forward-thinking EDM, trap or R&B.

9. Everything Bundle by GForce Software
I feel like I’ve talked enough about vintage synth bundles at this point. If you’re like me and there’s no such thing as “enough’ synths, I highly recommend you give GForce a try.
Their emulations of Oberheim and ARP synths take the classic instruments as a starting point and take them somewhere completely new. In my opinion, their flagship plugin is Minimonsta2, a bonkers take on the overexploited Minimoog. Perhaps the most original out there. An absolute must.
With about a dozen instruments - as well as expansions and preset packs - this isn’t the most exhaustive collection mentioned in this post, but it’s definitely worth the price of admission.
If you’re looking for unforgettable tones from a few well-known machines, this Bundle is hard to beat.

10. Komplete 14 Ultimate by Native Instruments
At some point I’ll have to write a full post about Native Instruments’ Komplete 14 bundle. Or maybe I’ll write a series about their different types of products. In the meantime, you’ll have to be happy with these few lines here to tell you a simple fact: Komplete 14 rocks.
An absolute industry standard if there ever was one, Komplete really puts a dream studio at your fingertips. What you get with this puppy is no less than 18 synths, 15 state-of-the-art percussion and drum tools, 31 effects (including Ozone 11, a mastering beast), 21 orchestral instruments, 48 sampled instruments (did someone say Playbox?), and a whopping 65 expansions!
Native Instruments really tries to make tools that sound great right away when you load them, with comprehensive - and beautiful - interfaces and a tone of very useful presets. You totally feel like these VSTs were made by people who understand beatmakers and producers. They work hard to remove all the little frictions that can gnaw at your inspiration, and they bring you one thing: creative bliss.
If you’re not ready to take the plunge into the Komplete bundle, you might want to start with Kontakt 7, the sampler to end all samplers. I’m including it here as a side quest of a bundle since it does come with its own 30 magnificent-looking and instantly usable instruments. That’s, like, over a million sounds right there.
If Komplete 14 and Kontakt 7 don’t inspire you to make your musical masterpiece, I hate to break it to you but you might be dead inside.

11. MSoundFactory by MeldaProduction
While doing my research for this post, there weren’t many surprises. I was looking for the best bundles that offered the most value, and I found the usual suspects. One thing I was not expecting though was to find MeldaProduction on the list of the most popular instruments collection.
Unlike other products, MSoundFactory isn’t so much a bundle of many limited instruments, but rather one crazy instrument that encompasses all sorts of modern and vintage forms of synthesis and modulations to create one deranged modular synthesizer.
I have still to truly evaluate all the capabilities of this mutant, but if you’re looking for something truly futuristic, this might be the collection for you. Give it a sniff and see if it’s for you! It comes with a lifetime of free updates, which is pretty dope.
If you like MeldaProduction and you want a complete bundle of all their stuff, check the MCompleteBundle that includes MSoundFactory as well as all their other plugins.
